Great Lakes Conveyor Maintenance, Inc. began operations in February 1997 to service conveyor belt users in all types of industry.

The owners, Bill Moesenthin and Steve Horn, have 50 plus years of combined experience servicing the conveyor belt industry. Great Lakes Conveyor Maintenance, Inc. have the capabilities to remove and install conveyor belting, hot vulcanize splice, cold cure vulcanize and mechanically splice and repair all types of conveyor belting in all types of belting applications.

Great Lakes Conveyor Maintenance, Inc. also re-lag (cold cure process) conveyor pulleys and rubber line chutes and hoppers both in the field and in our Toledo, Ohio facility. Great Lakes Conveyor Maintenance, Inc. can also splice endless, slit conveyor belting and do rubber fabricating at the Toledo, Ohio facility.

Current capabilities include fabric belt splicing up to 96" wide and steel cord belt splicing up to 96" wide. With current equipment on order or being fabricated we will soon be expanding our capabilities.

Equipment Available

The following equipment (not a complete list) is available to handle belt replacement projects:

• Vulcanizing Equipment: Shaw Almex vulcanizing presses, with the capability of splicing belts up to 96" in width.
  
• Belt Winding Equipment: Two (2) electrically driven belt winding machines capable of pulling and rolling conveyor belting up to 96" in width
  
• Vehicles: A fleet of five (5) service vehicles of which one is a  Ford F700 with a 55,000# pull Ramsey winch having 1,000’ of 3/8" steel pulling cable.
  
• Miscellaneous Equipment: Belt sanders, cable spool with an additional 1,000’ of pulling cable, which will mount directly onto the belt winding machine. Also, all the other necessary small equipment required to perform belt replacement projects including; electric winches, chain com-a-longs, cable cum-a-longs, nylon chokers, chains, belt clamps, c-clamps, hand splicing tools, etc.
